Recoil & spray control that actually transfers

Spray control looks flashy in montages. In ranked, what matters is a repeatable pull that keeps bullets on a torso or head for the first half of the magazine — then a reset before the pattern goes wild.

Separate pattern from panic

Every automatic weapon climbs and drifts. Your job is not to memorize a perfect art piece on day one. Your job is to cancel the climb early, then correct sideways drift with smaller motions.

If your third bullet is already in the sky, you are pulling too late or too soft — not “unlucky.”

Wall drill (10 minutes)

  1. Stand at mid range in a range or empty lobby.
  2. Aim at a fixed mark at head height.
  3. Hold fire for half a magazine while dragging down.
  4. Stop. Look at the bullet group. Adjust drag speed.
  5. Repeat five magazines. Then try short bursts of 4–6 shots.

Burst vs full spray

Close chaos: full spray with a firm downward pull. Mid range: bursts. Long range: tap or controlled pairs. Switching modes mid-fight is a skill — practice the switch on purpose in deathmatch.

Transfer to real rounds

After the wall drill, play one deathmatch where you only take fights you can plant for. Do not chase. Count how many sprays stayed on target for the first six bullets. That number matters more than kills.

Common mistakes

Pick one main rifle for a week. Master its early magazine. Then expand.
